Why Arsène Wenger and Thierry Henry celebrated PSG’s Champions League win

Thierry Henry and Arsène Wenger shared a heartwarming moment of celebration after Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) clinched their first-ever UEFA Champions League title with a stunning 5–0 victory over Inter Milan.

The two French football legends, both iconic figures at Arsenal, were visibly elated following the final whistle at the Allianz Arena in Munich, where PSG delivered a masterclass performance to secure a long-awaited European crown.

Henry, now a pundit with CBS Sports, couldn’t hide his joy as he interviewed his former Arsenal manager in the aftermath of the historic night for French football. Throughout the interview, Henry affectionately referred to Wenger as “boss”, a mark of enduring respect for the 75-year-old who shaped much of his playing career.

“It was absolutely fantastic,” Wenger said when asked for his reaction. “The difference between the teams was too big. On top of that, Inter, the way they played, they made it easier for PSG.”

Grinning widely, Henry cheekily asked, “Boss, are you happy?”

“I am happy, of course, for French football!” Wenger replied with a smile. “You know that!”
