Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta recently held a “secret meeting” with RB Leipzig as the Gunners intensify their pursuit of Benjamin Sesko.
Mikel Arteta’s side are desperate to sign a new centre forward during the 2025 summer transfer window and they have identified Sesko as one of their priority targets, along with Sporting CP goal machine Viktor Gyokeres.
The 22-year-old has impressed since joining RB Leipzig in 2023, but the Bundesliga giants are willing to sanction a sale this summer after missing out on Champions league qualification.
That is according to Sky Sports, who report that Sesko will be available for €82 million due to a variable release clause in his Leipzig contract.
The aforementioned Berta held a “secret meeting” in London with Marcel Schafer, his RB Leipzig counterpart, to discuss a deal for Sesko and talks are ongoing as Arsenal look to finalise an agreement for the Slovenia superstar.
Sesko is reportedly keen to join a team capable of fighting for domestic and European trophies, although he recently admitted that he wants his development as a player to be prioritised by his next club.
