Arsenal fixture list for the 2025/26 Premier League season has been officially released, setting the tone for what promises to be a defining campaign in Mikel Arteta’s quest to end the club’s 22-year wait for the league title.
The Gunners begin their campaign with a high-stakes clash at Old Trafford against Manchester United on August 17, one of several heavyweight encounters early in the season. Arteta’s impressive opening-day record, four wins in five will face a stern test against a resurgent United side.
Just two weeks later, Arsenal travel to Anfield to take on defending champions Liverpool on August 30, a match that could prove pivotal in shaping their title trajectory. September doesn’t offer any respite, with Manchester City visiting the Emirates on September 20, shortly after Arsenal’s Champions League League Phase opener. That clash with Pep Guardiola’s side could be an early barometer of Arsenal’s title credentials, as they look to go one better than last season’s second-place finish.
Arsenal’s return fixture against City is scheduled for April 18 at the Etihad, a date that could carry major title implications as the season nears its climax.
Among the season’s most anticipated clashes are the North London Derbies against Tottenham Hotspur, now managed by Thomas Frank. The first meeting will take place at the Emirates on November 22, while the reverse fixture at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is set for February 7. Both encounters are likely to be high-stakes, with top-four ambitions and bragging rights on the line.
The Gunners also face London rivals Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on November 29, with the reverse fixture at the Emirates pencilled in for February 28. These derbies will test the depth and resilience of Arteta’s squad, especially amid a demanding European calendar.
Arsenal’s second league clash with Manchester United is scheduled for January 24 at the Emirates, offering a potential opportunity to complete a double over their historic rivals, a psychological boost that could prove valuable in the title race.
Outside the traditional top six, Arsenal will also face newly promoted Leeds United at home on August 23 and travel to face Newcastle United on September 27 in what is a congested early stretch. However, their final five matches offer a relatively favourable run-in, all within London, including games against Bournemouth, Fulham, West Ham, and Crystal Palace. The season finale on May 24 at Selhurst Park could yet be decisive.
